Loosid Sober Tip of the Day March 27

In unity there is strength.

Whether you are entering recovery for the first time or have been in recovery for a while, it is always important to always keep in mind that, on our own, we are in big trouble.

Alcoholism and addiction are diseases of isolation and it is imperative that you connect with others who are on the same journey.

Why? Because you need to know that you are not alone. There are millions of people who share the same common bond as you.

Though all of our experiences may be different, the feelings of isolation and needing to get of the now remain the same.

Take the time today to connect with others who are on this journey with you. Once you do, you will never be alone again.

In unity there is strength. Alone we are nothing. Together, there is nothing we cannot achieve.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Blissfully beautiful!
I read a book that talks about interdependence. This means combining the skills/traits of people together to achieve something that neither could do alone. Ever since I read that I try to give my experience/skills to everyone I meet. I feel that this is how we can become one and achieve greater joy.
This disease is very lonely. I do spend a lot of my time alone. That’s why I get numbers at meetings and go to meetings as much as I can. Call people to get out of that loneliness feeling. To be of service. However, me time is just as important. This time I spend alone is for prayer, meditation and exercise. Journaling, hiking, and biking are more examples of me time.
Thank you Loosid for another wonderful sober tip of the day!

Isolation had been my demon! So much drinking then. Thx.

Grateful to be here :pray:

What helped me most are books (quit lit). Otherwise I’m fine on my own so far. I find solitude helps with staying sober.

This is probably the one thing I am working on the most. Reaching out. Making connections. I tend to want to do things on my own. Idk if it's a pride thing or just learned behavior but asking for help has never been easy for me.
