Loosid Sober Tip of the Day March 31

I NEED HELP.

These three simple words are the most powerful words in recovery.

Remember, there is no graduation date in recovery. Every day we have the ability to learn more and put more ammunition in our spiritual toolkit.

No matter the length of our sobriety, there will invariably be times that we need help.

Whether you are starting your journey, or are long into your recovery, always put yourself in a learning mindset.

The first thing you need to remember is, when you are struggling, say the three words that no addict wants to say. These are the same three words that save us one day at a time for the rest of our lives.

They are also the same three words that started us on our sober journey.

The courage in recovery comes from our ability to be vulnerable. It’s OK not to be OK.

Just for today, have the courage to ask for help if you are struggling. You will be surprised how many people are there to support you when you do.

If you are willing to give help, reach out to your sober network to see how you can be of service. We can’t keep it unless we give it away.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Very true..!

Fire!!

In total agreement!

This reminds me of the time I asked my wife (now ex) that I needed help. That situation has left a bad taste in my mouth about asking for help. What I’ve come to realize is that I need to look at who I’m asking help from? One would think your wife would be one to help, but if they’re a normie then it may be difficult to receive help.
That’s why it’s very important to build up a sober network or sober circle that you can ask help. And don’t forget to return the service as we give away what freely given to us.

Share experience, strength and hope!

I honestly don't mind asking for help(when I desperately need it). And I wait for me to desperately need it and ask because for so long in my addiction I asked for help from people and received the help I asked for, however, I lied about the help I needed for the sole purpose to get drugs! Now I feel like I don't want to waste nobody help unless I really need it ,this may sound far-fetched, but it is what it is. I know I need to work on this, because I'm in recovery and have been sober for 8months and my the help I need today is by far different than the help I needed in active use. The help I need most these days is just someone I can naturally vibe with!!
