Loosid Sober Tip of the Day May 08

Action, Reaction and Inaction.

We often think we are responsible for our actions.

Remember, at any time, we are responsible for three things: Our actions, our reactions and our inactions.

Ironically, inaction is often the most powerful.

This may mean restraint of pen and tongue by not sending that nasty text, email or phone response to someone who hurt you.

It may also mean sitting quietly with yourself and observing your thoughts and settling your mind.

Actions and reactions are very powerful as well.

Write down your actions, reactions and inactions from the last day. Then take an inventory to see what inactions were not useful and should have been acted upon.

Do the same for actions and reactions. You will get better each day. It just takes a bit of practice.

This is right on time! I have a person in my daily routine who is so apparently fake in their persona towards others that it brings me so much disappointment. Inaction. The choice to remain silent. Effectively being silent in order to remain at peace. Action, to continue to be open for conversation keeping in mind that my reactions are not valued and may be repeated to others inaccurately. I choose to remain silent in speaking my mind and I choose to keep my reactions diplomatic. My disdain for these types of people is deep. My empathy for others that are hurt and are suffering mentally and emotionally is loudly shared.

This is a "Sober Tip" that is in perfecting timing for my needs in guidance and support.

Thank you Loosid team for this. . Grateful for this!
