Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 01

Moving from being sober to getting sober requires us to start working a spiritual program.

We have removed the ‘spirits’ and need to replace it with spirituality.

In 12-Step Groups, this consists of Unity (meetings and fellowship), Service (to others), and the 12 steps.

Whatever the spiritual program, you need to enter it quickly. If we sit in the seat of sobriety and not embark on a spiritual program, we will stay in pain.

If you have questions on what to do, ask in the comment section below. The Loosid community is here to help you.

If you have been sober for a while and are working a spiritual program, help the newcomers by sharing your experience below.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

I need help

Go to meetings. Build a network. Give church a try.

I don't even know where to start to begin with spirituality

I’ve removed the spirits 278 days ago but haven’t started the spiritual journey

I began my spiritual journey many times only to end up relying on self strength & knowledge. Soon followed by self sabotage and relapse. I have 55dd sober and taking a more spiritual & holistic approach to recovery and doing well. All thanks to my higher power, my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately I'm one of the ones that have a very hard time in meetings,I'm a dry drunk and haven't put the work in like most of you, And now I have S.A.D so being in groups of more them 2 terrifys me and I lose control,that's why I'm thankful for this community.

I used to think I was better than folks in recovery programs because I had several college degrees and a successful career....NOPE! I'm an alcoholic all the way through and am SO GRATEFUL that I let my EGO go so that I could stay alive.

I did whatever had to be done to get my fix and numb out and do whatever to stay sober physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Mental, emotional and spiritual hangovers are worse than the physical ones:joy::woman_facepalming:t4::pray:t4:
