Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 12

My ego is not my amigo.

Throughout our sober journey, we come to learn the destructive nature of our ego.

In 12-Step groups we quite often hear about a program of ego deflation.

Though it can seem weird at first to hear the deflation of ego as a symbol of strength, we have found this to be one of the most important things we learn in our sober journey.

The less ego we have, the more room for humility, and the more humility we have, the greater we aspire to listen, to learn and to grow.

Remember, it’s easy to operate from ego. Humility takes daily practice… but it’s worth it!!!

I took my ego/Will back yesterday and got drunk! Let my family, friends down. Plan on going to meeting tonight and sharing! Todays not a good day!

Rule #62.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m sorry! We aren’t perfect but you getting back up is what matters! Good luck stay strong you got this!

Thx! Could use some+!!

My ego is so grandiose it’s embarrassing, I think most times the only one I’m fooling is myself!!

Yes when I check my ego on a constant basis my days go smoothly
I believe everything we do is based on.our ego
I'm a much happier person when I check my ego

That is the great thing about a new day..
It gives you a chance to start over, fresh, a new beginning for the next 24 hours. Don't beat yourself up. Just start over. Ask your higher power for strength, calm, peacefulness in your soul. :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:

What's the difference between ego, pride, self awareness, passion, prestige, humility, drive and determination, oh and let's assume a higher power doesn't exist.
