Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 24

In unity there is strength.

Whether you are entering recovery for the first time or have been in recovery for a while, it is always important to always keep in mind that, on our own, we are in big trouble.

Alcoholism and addiction are diseases of isolation and it is imperative that you connect with others who are on the same journey.

Why? Because you need to know that you are not alone. There are millions of people who share the same common bond as you.

Though all of our experiences may be different, the feelings of isolation and needing to get of the now remain the same.

Take the time today to connect with others who are on this journey with you. Once you do, you will never be alone again.

In unity there is strength. Alone we are nothing. Together, there is nothing we cannot achieve.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

I can share with you my experience along with some of my understanding on how important it is to find people that you can connect with especially when you’re new in recovery ‍🩹 having different backgrounds in relation to family can make you feel alone but you are not here is where you can find people who can actually feel where you’re coming from providing support a hand or just someone that cares and will listen don’t give up doors will open people will give you support and guidance believe in yourself :pray:t3::blush:

Im having such a hard time with this tbh

I don't feel alone. I talk to my sober friends (how in the world did I keep them through my disease is beyond me), my family(same) and my work is a big supporter. Some days I find the cravings pretty rough... I never liked any of the groups in my area for fellowship. Almost at a year and a half on December 5th, but it has been a long road. I just never really knew how sick I was.
