Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 26

Much like we can’t win today’s game on yesterday’s home run, we can’t stay sober today on yesterday’s sobriety.

During our active addiction, so many of us spent every day repeating the same rituals on a daily basis. It became such a ritual that we didn’t even realize the negative effects that were taking place as a result of our actions.

In recovery, we need to incorporate the same daily practice in order to stay emotionally sober.

For many of us, prayer and meditation has been a non-negotiable that we have learned to practice every morning when we arise.

Many of us do the same throughout the day and before we retire at night.

Some other activities that can set our day right are reading from spiritual texts.

For those in a 12-Step program, we may read 12-Step literature each morning.

We may also attend a meeting of likeminded others on a daily basis.

We may also reach out to people within our support network each day.

If you have not incorporated a daily practice into your recovery, there is no time like the present.

If you don’t know how or where to start, know you are not alone. Ask our community below for suggestions.

How did this tip resonate with you? If you already have a daily practice, share with the community below what you do on a daily basis. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

I started journaling, something I’ve never done before

Yes my daily routine for my sobriety are meditation, prayer, stretches, and workout. They are nonnegotiable. I rest on Sundays. A complete relaxation day to reset.

God - let me hear what you want me to hear, see what you want me to see, and be who you want me to be.

For myself doing something that will improve my life is what I’ve been trying to accomplish every day I think about were I’m at , how I feel , I’m grateful for everything even with so many bumps in the road I try to stay positive and continue working towards a better self healing in the process I have to try and do better with the reaching out day by day :two_hearts::pray:t3:

I'm trying to put the second part of my sobriety together. Staying focused on what's important to me! Plus putting myself first in all that I do,as they all tell you in all terms of this recovery situations

I have not even gotten this far in my journey. I’m hoping eventually I will

I put God first.I ended up in the hospital .I was drinking since I was 13 yrs old .The Dr.'s told me if I drinking again I can die.So I haven't had a drink since the 14th of November this year. I constantly pray and read my Bible .

I start each day with a prayer of gratitude for a new day & reading a few verses of scripture for either the Book of Mormon or Bible.
