Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 28

We often think we are only responsible for our actions.

Remember, at any time, we are responsible for three things: Our actions, our reactions and our inactions.

Ironically, inaction is often the most powerful.

This may mean restraint of pen and tongue by not sending that nasty text, email or phone response to someone who hurt you.

It may also mean sitting quietly with yourself and observing your thoughts and settling your mind.

Actions and reactions are very powerful as well.

Write down your actions, reactions and inactions from the last day. Then take an inventory to see what inactions were not useful and should have been acted upon.

Do the same for actions and reactions. You will get better each day. It just takes a bit of practice.

Love this!!!

Totally

I was inactive by not relapsing on Thanksgiving! My action to leave the party caused my reaction to STAY CLEAN! Good stuff...:grinning:

I work diligently for impulse control. I’ve run my mouth in the past and regret the lost relationship. I’m primed already to think people are talking about me negatively when it’s my concerned brain wanting to be liked. Whatever you think of me is none of my business and that’s how I’ve met real friends and not be overwhelmed by worrying what you think of me. People are more worried THEY are in a good light.

Thank you so much on sending me these things I need reminders

I’m starting to do this in my journal.

Thanks

I really needed to hear this, I’m struggling
