Loosid Sober Tip of the Day November 28

The world record for sobriety is 24 hours and nobody’s broken it yet.

This short tip contains perhaps the most powerful message we will ever hear in recovery.

Many people come into recovery thinking, ‘how can I live the rest of my life without drinking or drugging?’

The answer is… you don’t have to.

There is absolutely no need to worry about whether we will drink tomorrow, next week, or next year.

Make a commitment to not pick up a drink or drug just for today. That’s all we need. All we ever will need.

I agree with this tip 100%…. As the song goes,” one day at a time.” Don’t worry about yesterday or tomorrow just be in there here and now present…. And at the end of the day ask yourself, how did I do today? And whatever it is that you not satisfied with at the of the that day work on it at the beginning of a new day…much love

For me is to live for that moment and go to a meeting every chance I get and keep my self busy doing things around the house or get out and ride my bicycle keeping my mind busy and try not to think about that drank

I really wanted AA to help me drink like a gentleman. I worried about not being able to have “a” drink at family events/holidays. I work a solid program and today, I don’t fight cravings, my obsession has been lifted, one day at a time.
