Loosid Sober Tip of the Day October 03

Creating and maintaining an attitude of gratitude.

One of the most powerful tools we learn in a spiritual program of recovery is gratitude.

It is also something that, at first, is very hard to see, as many of us tend to gravitate to the negative and get stuck in self-pity.

Creating a context switch to think what we are grateful for takes us out of self-pity and shifts our thinking into the amazing opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead.

If you have connected with a sober network, you will often find that many of them send out gratitude lists each and every day.

It is a way of giving hope to ourselves as well as to others.

If you are not part of a gratitude group, connect with members below and write down what you are grateful for.

At Loosid, here is what we are grateful for today:

We are grateful to have a platform of likeminded others who share a common bond and help one another on a daily basis.

We are grateful that you read the daily sober tips to better yourself each and every day.

If you are new or just exploring the benefits of sobriety, we are grateful for your courage to ask questions and explore new possibilities.

If you have been sober for a while, we are grateful for setting a great power of example for people who are new and need help.

We are also grateful that you continue to practice a spiritual program every day as we cannot live today on yesterday’s sobriety.

Now, your turn…

What are you grateful for?

Share your gratitude list below.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

As a reminder, be sure to connect with others who are posting below and in the feed to grow your sober network. You will never know when you need them, but one thing is for sure… you will need them as we cannot do this alone.

Alone we are powerless, together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

I'm greatful to be alive greatful breaking the chains of addiction and incarceration. Have a great Day

I’m grateful for the gift of sobriety today.

This is what I needed to read this morning. We are struggling financially, lost our car to repossession, our furnace quit working, the truck we spent $300 on and have already dumped over 2 grand into is still plagued by mechanical issues, floor is collapsing in 2 spots in our home......but I say bring it on. Self pity would have killed me (again), the "why does this keep happening to me" is so over played in my head it's like a childhood VHS that's been worn down. But you know what? I'm alive, I'm grateful to be alive, I'm grateful for my struggles, they forge me. As we said in the military, "Embrace the suck." It's through trials and tribulations that we find our strength, and our true character.

I'm grateful for the mindset sobriety has given me, it's allowed me to explore so many new things and opportunities I would have wrote off when I was using. I'm grateful for my AMAZING sponsor, my N/A home group, my therapist who puts up with me and my craziness at times,I'm grateful for being able to heal relationships in my life

I'm grateful for a program and a network of people that have taught me that there is absolutely nothing worth picking up a drink ........good, bad or indifferent. I'm grateful for the tools that have taught me that "life on life's terms" is how I need to live.

I'm grateful for waking up sober
For all my friends and family I've found in my sober life
For meetings
My sponsor
My animals
My husband
My higher power.
And so much more

I'm just grateful that I woke up on this side of the dirt:peace_symbol::heart::us_outlying_islands:

I am so grateful for this community @Loosid, for my Higher Power, for another 24 hours of sobriety, for a second chance at life, for the opportunity to help others like myself achieve sobriety, for my family, for the autumn season...for coffee, for cigarettes lol
