Loosid Sober Tip of the Day October 12

I NEED HELP.

These three simple words are the most powerful words in recovery.

Remember, there is no graduation date in recovery. Every day we have the ability to learn more and put more ammunition in our spiritual toolkit.

No matter the length of our sobriety, there will invariably be times that we need help.

Whether you are starting your journey, or are long into your recovery, always put yourself in a learning mindset.

The first thing you need to remember is, when you are struggling, say the three words that no addict wants to say. These are the same three words that save us one day at a time for the rest of our lives.

They are also the same three words that started us on our sober journey.

The courage in recovery comes from our ability to be vulnerable. It’s OK not to be OK.

Just for today, have the courage to ask for help if you are struggling. You will be surprised how many people are there to support you when you do.

If you are willing to give help, reach out to your sober network to see how you can be of service. We can’t keep it unless we give it away.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Invariably many love to give help so I’m helping people as well when I ask. I’m not good at all at it but this helps me remember day by day. My HP is there everyday.

Praying for you

I can’t seem to stop this one thing! Went to rehab, left after a week to have this drug! I wanted to be clean at rehab, but I wanted to use too, I hate myself and I’m so disappointed in myself! I don’t want to live this life I’m living but I don’t want to stop this drug either, well I mean I really do I guess I’m just weak! :frowning:

I would say the most powerful words in recovery are "I surrender" and that also encompasses I need help

2 key concepts I found in recovery arecovery are surrender and willingness. Of course in the 1st 3 steps we have to realize the trouble we're in and we need to realize that we can't fix it by ourselves and that there is a higher power of some sort that can help us and then we have to make a conscious decision to surrender ourselves to that higher power so that we can get the help we need this is all very closely related to this question main this question's main thought asking for help You have to ask for help you have to know you need it and you have to be willing to take the help.

Today at 230pm. I’m taking a piece of sub so I can avoid withdrawal. I have a very physical job and only
Going to take one sub spread out over a few days. I need help. I’m tired. 19 years of addiction. Had
Four years clean and messed it all up but it’s lasted wayyyyy too long . I’m slowly loosing everything..again

I surrender!!!!

Life saving words!
