Loosid Sober Tip of the Day October 20

Finding the good in YOU.

Yesterday, we looked at finding the good in others. Hopefully, that has given you some very strong relief and freed up quite a bit of wasted energy on anger and resentment.

As we have heard countless times, resentment is the #1 offender.

Quite often, the person we most resent most in life is ourselves.

Just for today, focus on the good in you.

Most of us have harmed many people in our active addiction and have a hard time forgiving ourselves for what we have done.

Just for today, focus on the actions you have taken now that you have entered a new journey.

What have you done to be of service to others? What have you done that started you on this spiritual path?

If you are still new or are in active addiction, just by reading this daily tip shows great willingness to change. That is GOOD. Very GOOD.

If nothing comes to mind, think of what good you can do today to help others. Think of what good you can do to learn more about the path to recovery.

If you are confused or don’t know where to start, post below any questions you may have.

If you have been around a bit, please share with the community the GOOD about you and what you have been able to do since entering recovery.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Humility=responsibility which in turn grants me serenity thru doing and submitting to Gods perfect will.

Man how true this has been for me in my 2.5 months of sobriety! Learning my defects of character in this program, has allowed me and is allowing me to be more humble.

I like that I can wake up another day and ask for serenity thru humility to my Higher Power. If i don't do that and have alone time with God, I will struggle. But with this meditation group and aligning it with my recovery journey, I have learned to settle only for Gods perfect will...

I am a "pickle" alcoholic and am grateful to have been chosen to be a alcoholic, which will allow me soon to help others!

I think the hardest part in the beginning was accepting the fact that I couldn't beat it on my own. I needed help! I went to my first meeting expecting a guick fix to my problems and after everyone got through laughing at me this old man tapped my shoulder and told me I already had all the help I needed I just had to hit my knees in prayer and ask God the help. I never did catch that old man's name but wow best advice ever! When I asked God to help me oh man it was game on  now I am 6 years clean and I am willing and able to help anyone in anyway I'm capable of.

As I woke up Sober for another day, I realize that I fully understand what it means to be a "Grateful Alcoholic"..at first, while in Rehab and going to the AA meetings, when people would say that, I couldn't understand what that meant..but I do now.. Today at 6 months Sober I get it..without me being an Alcoholic and going to rehab, I would have Never met the Amazing people that are in my Life, who have become like My family..we share Love & Laughter daily but also learn so much from each other's journey..I also now have a Higher Power that I pray to every morning and night and I am being led in the Right direction daily..I am In Love with Life again..It feels Amazing!!:heavy_heart_exclamation:
