Loosid Sober Tip of the Day October 23

Moving from being sober to getting sober requires us to start working a spiritual program.

We have removed the ‘spirits’ and need to replace it with spirituality.

In 12-Step Groups, this consists of Unity (meetings and fellowship), Service (to others), and the 12 steps.

Whatever the spiritual program, you need to enter it quickly. If we sit in the seat of sobriety and not embark on a spiritual program, we will stay in pain.

If you have questions on what to do, ask in the comment section below. The Loosid community is here to help you.

If you have been sober for a while and are working a spiritual program, help the newcomers by sharing your experience below.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Meeting Makers make it!

Meeting makers don't always make it... but they do get to see what happens to people who stop going to meetings! People who get a sponsor, do the steps ,carry the message and practice the principles and all their affairs make it!:man_cartwheeling:

Reading this and seeing words like "need" and "required" really makes me sick. It's talk like this that only made me resist help.

However, I’m just speaking for myself. I also had to back it up with action. Making meetings is great, but working a program to the best of my present ability, I forgot to add sponsorship, and get involved. Meaning service work either at your home group & area.

I am an atheist who got sober with therapy and using the power of my own will. This is a bit preachy

When I came into the rooms something inside me knew this path was meant for my journey...I heard the program was the way to a faith that works...As many times in my life logic, pride, and doubt quieted the whispers of my soul... The literature states "any life run on self will can hardly be a success" When I humbled myself to accept the fact that I am not the beginning and the end...my way of thinking began to change...I found and accepted a power greater than myself to direct my paths... My change and growth continue so long as I turn the care of my life over to the care of alcoholics anonymous.
