Loosid Sober Tip of the Day October 24

Action, Reaction and Inaction.

We often think we are responsible for our actions.

Remember, at any time, we are responsible for three things: Our actions, our reactions and our inactions.

Ironically, inaction is often the most powerful.

This may mean restraint of pen and tongue by not sending that nasty text, email or phone response to someone who hurt you.

It may also mean sitting quietly with yourself and observing your thoughts and settling your mind.

Actions and reactions are very powerful as well.

Write down your actions, reactions and inactions from the last day. Then take an inventory to see what inactions were not useful and should have been acted upon.

Do the same for actions and reactions. You will get better each day. It just takes a bit of practice.

This sounds like a good practice I should incorporate into my program. It sounds like a good way of helping with step 10

Sometimes its hard for me to practice no action. I tend to react rather than just take action or no action. I need to continually work on these three things.

I need to really practice this more- especially Inaction- I have a sister-in-law that always gets to me and we mostly fight through texting...and this last time I texted her mean things :disappointed: 1st...

I have truly been working on this. I have always been someone who reacts. I really try to pay attention to this because I want to change. I'm doing better and it takes practice but I'm up for the challenge. I've come to realize every situation doesn't need a response. Silence is golden.

Yes everyday I have the pen to the paper, trying to rid my darker thoughts,I do it cause it's my own personal medication for my mind.
