Loosid Sober Tip of the Day Sep 03

We are as sick as our secrets.

This is a common expression used in recovery. It is important to feel our feelings and share with people what’s going on with the challenges in our lives.

What we hold inside builds up like a slow boil which at some point will manifest itself in some way, shape or form.

If you are struggling, share your struggles today.

If it’s something that is personal, be sure to share it with a trusted, close-mouthed friend. In 12-Step programs this is normally reserved for a sponsor.

In other settings, it may be more suitable for a professional.

What you need to know is that asking for help is something you should never be ashamed of but rather one to be proud of as you are taking steps to work through your challenges.

It is an act of power and courage.

Free yourself today by letting out what is inside of you and ask for help.

You are worth it.

It's easy when you have people that care for you and are willing to listen to you, that is not my case, I am alone and bored

I was sent to counselors all my life and I don't know why; but God; I could not share anything until I joined a step study at my Celebrate Recovery at Grace fellowship Church and there I unburdened myself and told everything that had happened to me and finally found healing from my depression and self-loathing and guilt. I was so sick that I was trying to end my own life. But God is so so good

I have built a fort around me.I have many ppl in with years of recovery in my life who stayed in my life .That I have reached back out to and exposed my secrets or thought I did. They were just waiting for me with no judgement.I just had to be honest with me first and then with them.

Play my sweet friend I'm new to this also and from what I'm experiencing this time I've learned to find my silent place and talk to God I didn't know how to pray I learned to a counselor at rehab that she just had to just say hey man you create me you know and start off learning to pray that way and God created you he knows you always feel that you can count on him and put your worries and burdens to him and you will feel relieved also anytime something is on you always say devil get behind me I'm covered the blood of Jesus and I have the full suit of armor Amen
