Loosid Sober Tip of the Day September 4

Action, Reaction and Inaction.

We often think we are responsible for our actions.

Remember, at any time, we are responsible for three things: Our actions, our reactions and our inactions.

Ironically, inaction is often the most powerful.

This may mean restraint of pen and tongue by not sending that nasty text, email or phone response to someone who hurt you.

It may also mean sitting quietly with yourself and observing your thoughts and settling your mind.

Actions and reactions are very powerful as well.

Write down your actions, reactions and inactions from the last day. Then take an inventory to see what inactions were not useful and should have been acted upon.

Do the same for actions and reactions. You will get better each day. It just takes a bit of practice.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

This speaks to so much in my day to day. Focus on what I can, not what I cannot. But inaction is definitely my biggest opportunity. If I hold back, I feel like I’m protecting myself. When the reality is that I’m afraid to progress…

I’ve been working on my reactions, staying quiet is difficult for me but I need a complete make over. God please help me🙏

Not reacting is something that I had to learn how to do and has been the key to a lot of my problems. I've hurt a lot of people by reacting, including myself.

I think not reacting is hard for me. I tend to react and that's not good . I'm learning to stay quit and not react if someone says something I don't like. It's hard.

Keeping quit and just listening is better then over reacting on a situation. I pray that God can help me with that . Speaking and voicing a opinion isn't always a good response
