Im new to sobriety im an alcoholic, i attended my first aa meetings and im in recovery this has been the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with and im definitely having cravings and trying so hard to not give in I accepted recently that i have a problem and i just wanna get better , but i feel alone .. just wondering if anyone out there experienced this in the beginning of there recovery
Yes it’s very hard .New form app. Can help with meetings everything AA can help we can help, just resist for tonight and at least I will be available or some of the other people here, stay strong my friend you can do it. Get some rest and pray
Without a doubt…. It does get easier but just for today I will not drink
We are all alone. Find something to love....a book, a movie, become a cook, get a pet.
hang in there, telling myself “all i have to do today is not drink” helps me, maybe it can help?
Keep going it gets easier.
Good morning Barbara how are you doing today
I’m great thank you I got through another day sober I’m proud of myself taking it day by day !
How are you today
Awesome job
Congrats on getting in the rooms! Keep moving forward one day at a time.
Thank you so much
Well amost 6 months in and today I was not in a good place with my self, but talking with my brother and doing my meeting it got better. I was told it was a pink fog . Hope you’re day is good?
Definitely, just keep it simple. One day at a time
Hi Barbara
Absolutely, all alone, completely lost, frightened like never before!!!
I finally called my first sponsor and asked for help. He had me take a very menial service position with a group that turned out to be my home group.
Started working steps right away. After resisting for a period of time,(the only thing I did in moderation was the steps), I surrendered and gave it my all!!!
Before I knew it, change had happened, and my life was on a totally different path!!!
Don’t leave before the miracle happens!!!
You won't be alone if you accept a power greater than yourself and you can be restored to sanity:pray:
You're not alone there's so many people out there in the same boat as you and we are here to help anyway we can. How's it's going today
