Made it through the storm

This has been a rough cpl days, WOW!but I am happy to say I stayed on track with sobriety. It was soooooo HARD! After some pretty heavy home drama I was ready to jump into my comfort zone and get plastered! For 3 days now there has been an enormous flow of crud piling up around me, and I was at my breaking point today. I went up to my bed and stayed there for 20 minutes contemplating getting a hotel and going to the bar and getting f’d up to escape. I was looking at reservations and then I said “why do that again?” I made the decision to pack up my bicycle and head to a park I like and I just started riding. I rode several laps and afterwards felt a lot better, less angry, and well… happy that I didn’t go the other route. My problems haven’t gone away, but I feel stronger to face them and this win for me is huge! May all of you who face the storm find the strength to make the right choice.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing that. It’s just what I need to hear.

That's awesome! Natural endorphins feel so much better than poison. You reoriented your mind and body with that choice and act. That's what we all should be doing every day even if just a smidgen. Great job and thanks for the inspiration today :+1:
