Made it through the weekend ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Whatโ€™s Friday night without cocktails?

How can I go to brunch without mimosas?

Whatโ€™s fun about a Saturday adventure without drinking?

Aaaahhh :woman_facepalming:t2: these are all questions and thoughts that I struggled with this weekend. Alcohol had really taken over my life and Iโ€™m grateful to have gotten through my second full weekend without giving in. :raised_hands:t2: Still sober going in to week 3.

Stay strong folks and keep up the good work!

I have the same thoughts, especially in the evenings when Iโ€™m home alone. What I have found the helps me, is waking up the next morning, not feeling bad, wondering if I did anything stupid or pissed anyone off, etcโ€ฆโ€ฆ sometimes at night I have to go to bed early so I can wake up to the good stuff! lol

Remembering life and being present :gift_heart: is the real gift. Being able to be responsible and own all my actions. These are some of the gifts that clean and sober has brought to me. The ability to support from an overflowing cup that I nurture and love full so that I can pour in to others. The gifts keep coming and the gratitude is something indescribable to the day one me. You got this and youโ€™re worth it!

I was out riding my bike this weekend and saw a sign for half priced mimosas. I was wondering if theyโ€™d half price glasses of orange juice for sober people.

Kendall & sober broโ€™s & sisters, as a recovering alcoholic and sober 16 years, I can honestly say that life without alcohol is a thousand times better!
I once went to Paris and drank so much I donโ€™t remember anything passed my arrival. $7k๐Ÿ˜…
Another New Yearโ€™s Eve I apparently hooked up with a beautiful lady, bought everyone drinks and zero memory. $5k๐Ÿ˜
Since Iโ€™ve been sober, I spend less money and remember everything! I donโ€™t make as many mistakes and 90+% of time nobody is angry at me.
Going to AA meetings, getting sponsored and doing the 12 steps multiple times is a game changer in a good way.
Iโ€™m here if anyone wants to talk

Hahaha well sounds like you had some fun times but truly, clarity is better than anything.

Itโ€™s an entirely different life experience. A better one for sure.

Haha! I guess I did.

Great job. One step at a time.

two full weekends without giving in when everything around you was built around drinking, thatโ€™s not luck, thatโ€™s a decision made over and over again all weekend, week 3 is yours :raised_hands:
