Made the tough decision of turning down a free vacation to Cabo with my friend and his family.
They are really big drinkers and though I know they would be respectful of my sobriety the temptation is too high.
I’m sad about it now but I know this is what’s best for me.
Sounds like a very smart and mature decision to not put yourself in that situation. Be proud of yourself. And Congratulations on the 6 months!
Don't be sad, be proud of yourself. You made a tough decision knowing that perhaps you wouldn't have made it home sober. That's a really good thing. That's also a part of healthy boundaries.
