Make a meeting and start again! You can do it! You’ve done it before.

As long as you keep trying, that is what’s important. Do not give up on yourself.

Practice some radical acceptance: There is no future. There is no past. No Day But Today.

I am so sorry. I know how I felt with my last relapse. But your posting so that’s a start. Try to connect with the “right” people. Go to meetings. Just try again because death from this sh*t is brutal. Witnessed it twice. Plus a friend Just had a liver transplant at 40 yrs old. Life is good and you don’t need booze for that. Please stay strong. Sorry sad booze not sure your choice. Good luck you got this.

I'm coming back from a relapse right now. It does suck but I put my hand up at a meeting and said "I need help!" I got a lot of support from doing that. You can do it!

Relapse like a hobby here. Most of us need multiple attempts. Just learn something from each time ( trigger to avoid, what coping methods worked) and limit the duration of the relapse. As long as you get back on the wagon quickly it's not that big a deal in many ways. I used to go on months long bender relapses and last one was just a weekend. Sounds like you are on the right track. Good luck mang.

Thank You all for the kind words of support. I will take head and push thru

God Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

  • you can’t change the day(s) you drank or drugged, you can’t change what you did then

Courage to change the things I can.

-you can change how you are today and that is being sober and not drink or drug. You can change your attitude towards self, you made a mistake man, just brush it off learn from it and move on and be stronger from it. If you didn’t drink today that was a successful day.

And wisdom to know the difference

-highly suggest you say this prayer in full this is just the small portion of the prayer.

Hey Geo, I hope you get through this quickly. I've been there, and the cycle has only ever hurt in one way or another until I cleaned up and started my baby steps again. If you realize that what you have sought from drinking/using in the past has never been given to you by the substance then that will be a good start.

Sometimes in life we will have situations that the only way we use to cope with them before is a substance. I've learned that I have to have a plan when that happens..... even if my plan is just going for a walk or getting a drink from 7-11. You can regain sobriety again. A relapse is hard. Bit if you did it before you can do it again. Just arm yourself with the right tools. You are worth it. We are not are mistakes or our failures. We are indivauls that get stuck in a cycle sometimes because that is what we learned. You can do it. You deserve it. Just breath and find your way back on top. You deserve happiness just like everyone else.

Give yourself credit for being here. Awareness is everything. Alcohol will try make us feel defeated but once we get some sober time in everything changes. Stay strong. Keep coming back. You got this.
