Medical Advice

I collapsed yesterday on a walk to brunch. One minute I’m conversing with a friend, the next I’m coming to in the ER.

This is not the first time, but it’s the first time since I got clean and I was shocked how adamant the doctors were about prescribing every medicine from here to eternity. Politely saying no did not seem to work.

Anyone else dealt with this and/or have tips next time I’m in this situation?

Thanks Heather! I actually have a very good relationship with my GP, but he always seems hesitant to send me to the hospital. If it persists I’ll have no choice to go to the ER. First things first: endoscopy and banding of my esophageal varices.

And who said liver disease wasn’t any fun?
