I’m all settled in my new apartment, & I was able to adopt this sweet baby earlier this week. She has already brought me so much happiness & comfort. She’s been a huge part of why I’ve been able to feel safe in my new apartment. I haven’t lived on my own since before my mom got sick, & since I was attacked. So it’s been a huge transition. I also resumed therapy. Just taking things one day at a time.

Adorable!! Congratulations!! I started living on my own four years ago. And it took a few months before I realized that I had never lived alone before! And I think it was an instrumental part of finally discovering who I am. Keep doing the next right thing one day at a time!!!
