Meeting Monotony

First let me premise this by saying I need and appreciate AA meetings and have gained tremendous insight and inspiration here thus far. This is a really great area for meetings and support. And no matter what I always get something positive out of them and I go to a lot of different meetings available in the area.

However... I'm starting to get to a point where I am hearing the same shares from the same people and not in a positive way, like I know what they're going to say before they share and it's not just me as I can see the body language in the groups. I damned sure don't go to meetings to build new resentments as I've got plenty already, but I'm starting to feel that way. A lot of it is my ego creeping up on me and I need to stay far away from that.

I've tried some zoom meetings but it's not really the same as being there in person. Sooo .. any advice from someone that's been around the rooms for awhile on how to get past this? I'm even open to suggestions for some great zoom meetings to add in to mix it up, but I still need the in-person fellowship from the rooms.

That’s a tough one. I have had it happen as well. I changed up times and places for a while and went to different groups. For about a month I went to meetings that were 1/2 hour away from me or more. After a while I started to miss the old groups. Don’t give up man.
