Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Last year, I was four months out of incarceration and 16 months clean and depressed over expectations that I had for the holidays. Time with family etc., but I was alone. This year, I have a month clean and am alone again (the kids are in Wisconsin with their mother) - but I am incredibly grateful and happy. Because this year I am observing Christmas for what it is - a celebration of the ultimate gift from my HP. The gift of salvation, of a companion who is always with me and loves me unconditionally. Not focusing on the past, or on the future - but focusing on the present moment. May the holiday season bring you renewal and the spiritual gifts of Love, Joy, and Forgiveness. Merry Christmas!
