I’m struggling with this subject .. I’m severely adhd. Was as a child and finally got diagnosed as an adult just last year. I take adderall 30mg xr. What are everyone’s thoughts on an addict / alcoholic taking adderall

Hi there! While some consider this controversial, I’ll share the essence of what my 12-step programs literature says. The final decision to take rx meds comes down to you and your doctor. The key factor being honesty with yourself and your physician. I myself take an SSRI because my depression has severe risks when untreated. I am also in therapy and using multiple other remedies to address the depression. If you notice signs of misuse beginning, it is time to reevaluate with your medical team. Best of luck
