Not so much alcohol anymore not really worried about that
Both are brutal
Have both caused enough days in my life that I don't remember.
Mine was crack and heroin. The last overdose about killed me. Thanks to God and the program of Alcoholics Anonymous I now have 8mos sober
Meth was my DOC and I’ve been sober just over a year. Not gonna lie, I miss it but I just can’t use no matter what Be good to yourself. We put so much poison in our systems when we use.
What have you done to stay sober
I relapsed a lot. I went to rehab twice. Did three Intensive outpatient programs. Did 90 meeting in 90 days. Got a sponsor, did step work. Maintain a service position in a weekly meeting. Relapsed through all of it but picked up helpful stuff that got me pockets of sobriety here and there. It’s all played a part in keeping me clean this past year but what’s really helped is getting practice getting through my cravings. Triggers lead to cravings and obsession so teaching my brain how to get through all of that has been a process and each craving I made it through made me stronger. I still have using dreams, get triggered but I make a decision not to use no matter what. It’s a journey, but you can do it!
