Today I am so very Grateful that my Granddaughter Mia is alive and recovering..She was accidentally shot in the front of her ankle on Saturday evening..She is healing and Thank You God for not letting it be so much worse..Through the Terrifying Trauma of it all,I did Not pick up and drink nor use any mind altering substance..It was so Scary but I remained Sober & Grateful for that!!

Vicki.. I'm glad she's on the mend. I can totally relate to being shot. Although in my 3 events it wasn't accidental it was intentional.
These types of traumatic events can trigger the alcoholic.
I'm glad you persevered through it.

Thank you so much..Never thought about picking up at all, but I did have to take my prescribed anxiety meds..It really was terrifying they way it all happened..it ended with a police pursuit and him getting arrested but he was trying to kill her boyfriend and accidentally shot her..So Scary!!

I'm glad you and your granddaughter are doing well.
He's fine, ran like a coward after seeing her get shot..He's addicted to Xanax so nothing that comes out of his mouth is true!!
