Thank you
Thank you very much
I really donât want to get into a debate or anything with you about this, especially after being accused by you of being â proselytizingâ The bottom line here is, I believe everyone has a right to their own opinion, and the right to believe whatever they choose but for me, it isnât about choice.
Iâve seen and felt the power of the Lord work in my life and the life of others numerous times.
I read the Bible every day and I watch the the show The Chosen because I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God but let me ask you , who is really the one trying to change someoneâs mind or beliefs ? âŚ
It seems to me itâs you.
Answer to your question : free will and there is evil in the world
You have absolutely NO class. Zero. How can you speak like this on this woman's very personal thread. I don't see anyone chasing you down for your beliefs or lack thereof. Get a clue, huh?
Thank you John I really appreciate you sticking up for me but honestly people like that I just pray, for.
I was taken a bit back by him bringing up my sonâs death as a way to diminish my faith but if anything I feel sorry for him and I also would like to believe he wasnât being intentionally hurtfulâŚ.
Of course itâs probably a little too optimistic on my part.
Well Katie I sincerely appreciate your excess of spirituality, but I believe those kind of snarkie comments don't belong in a recovery chat! Active addiction was painful enough!
I agree with you, John I have to be honest I am seeing your point more and more.
This debate for lack of a better word is now on two separate post of mine and I donât mind the back-and-forth with him on the other post as much as I mind it here on the one about my son so thank you very much again.

This is hardly the place to discuss this but in short...
It happened to her son because God gives us all free choice. He made a bad decision and it cost him his life. That could happen to any one of us.
That's how sin entered the world to begin with. Lucifer took his eyes off Jesus and started seeing himself in a greater light. He was not content with being just under Jesus. He wanted to be God. He became Satan.
He deceived a 3rd of the angels and was eventually kicked out of Heaven. God could have destroyed satan but then people would only love God out of fear. Loving God is a choice you make. He had to let Satan roam to show the universe his fallen nature.
Jesus was sent to demonstrate the character of God.
We walked with God and were warned about Satan the great deceiver. We fell for his lies and sin entered the world and sin separated us from God. We too have a fallen nature. That's why the world is in the shape that it's in because we are all corrupt to 1 degree or another.
The great controversy between God and satan is being addressed and we are all caught in the middle.
John 16:33
âI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.â
It's simply means that we will have trouble here on Earth but not to fear for God has overcome the world.
Sin is a real problem But God has given us all the way out if we choose. And if we choose to reject God it will cost us eternal life So we all have decisions to make.
If you would like to discuss this further I will be more than happy to. You can reach me at

My prayers are for you and your family .. I am so sorry may you find the strength to find peace
Thank you
Love, love, love this thank you so very much for taking the time to respond as I believe we all have the opportunity to be disciples for the Lord and lead others to faith but not all of us actually know how or educate ourselves enough to do so -
I for one really respect and admire you doing just that - you are a power of example. God bless and great share.
Thank you again.
How about this: Show you're sponsor what you wrote? See what they say. How's that for unpredictable?
I'm so sorry about your loss. 4 years clean is a great accomplishment.
Yeah, you wouldn't want to learn something after all, right?
I already know everything.
More importantly, I don't wanna clog up Katie's post with our bickering anymore.
Got it, you're not man enough to ask your sponsor, or you're embarrassed. OK thanks.
When your an alcoholic the power of choice is taken away from you. If you're the type of drunk you claim to be then you of all people should know this. Power of choice yeah okay. You might want to brush up on that blue book they talk about
Why ???
Page 24... got it. This is what I refer to as believing the lie; That this time, everything will be OK. But it never is, is it?
Yes, Alcoholics do have short memories. There's also a chapter in there entitled, There Is A Solution
We do have the power to ask for help or not ask for help.
The choice is ours.
If we choose the latter, the consequences can be fatal.
Why are you on this app? Because you choose to be, right?
Choices!
I'm really sorry about your son Katie. I can't imagine what that must feel like.
There seems to be some trojans on this app. They never have anything good to say about anything and have little respect for the rest of the community!
