Morning all. Day 2 of my new life. Headed to

Morning all. Day 2 of my new life. Headed to work. It seems overwhelming to think of the rest of my life. All the post help. One day at a time. The hardest part is admitting I can’t control anything. It is so easy to just lie to myself and say I deserve to relax and have a few drinks. The hard part is done realizing alcohol is a drug that will kill you and destroy your life. I have a lot of people praying for me and my family. I feel the prayers. This site really helps to keep me focused. I was always a good mother. Never made many friends. I need to totally change my life. Learn to make friends and truly enjoy life and not think I need alcohol to have a good time. Everyone have a good day

You're exactly right Dianne. One minute, one hour, one day at a time. Everything is transient, bad days, cravings, ; they will all pass, any bad day has a relatively good day waiting around the corner. Hope today is one of the good ones for you. Congratulations on day 2!!

Thanks Andrew.

GM :sunny: We have to realize we have an illness. We are fortunate it’s treatable. Isolation is part of this illness. That’s why I always recommend the fellowship of AA. I need sober friends in my life. It’s way to lonely out there watching everyone else drink. Have a great and sober day :peace_symbol:

Congratulations on day 2. Don't look at it as a lifetime commitment. Look at it as today I am sober. I decide that everyday, one day at a time.
