I believe a lot of people treat relapse like it comes out of nowhere. It doesn't. It's usually the last step in a chain of small decisions, skipped meetings, ignored triggers, isolation, and stress piling up with no outlet. Relapse isn't proof recovery failed; it's proof the plan wasn't strong enough for that moment. Doesn't matter if you're days or years in. If you don't have a game plan for your hardest moments, you're leaving your recovery up to chance. Build the plan before you need it.
Recovery works just follow the steps in order 1-12 get a Sponsor listen to her/him Get a higher power go to meetings and while you are there listen like your life, depends on it. Keep coming back. It works if you work it one day at a time but remember easy does it?
