Munching sugar. Today I planned poorly and ended up stranded at work with 2 hours left in my workday, nothing to do, very hungry and only candy and goldfish to snack on. So….. I ate too much candy, made tea, drank lots of water, then had goldsmith crackers and more candy :woman_facepalming:t4:. At least I’m still sober, and I DID finally make it home to a healthy dinner. Note to self: never leave the house without healthy snacks. I think since I’ve quit drinking my hunger is returning. I used to be able to skip meals, no problem. Now, I think my stomach has come back to life and it wants food at regular intervals throughout the day!

Yeah that’s common. The sugar cravings will get worse. Alcohol has so much sugar in it our bodies need to adjust to a lower percentage of daily intake. I had to really watch the amount of ice cream I was eating… lol I saved my liver but was giving myself diabetes. It gets easier as time goes on.

I can’t stop eating cookies,candy,ice cream. It’s out of control.

One day at a time my friend. I did meal replacement shakes with milled flax seed for a while to keep something processing that didn't have a lot of calories.
