My Birthday

Today marks 7 years of continuous sobriety. By the grace of God and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous I am sober today. By taking suggestions, getting a sponsor, reading the big book and practicing the steps.
For a real alcoholic like me, that is truly a miracle. I am forever grateful for AA and this way of life.

Congratulations on your sobriety :metal:t4: As someone that has that much time, what would you say helped you the most when you were new to the program?

Thanks Joshua.
I guess I was given the gift of desperation. So willingness was what helped me most in the beginning. I realized that my best thinking got me in trouble over and over again. So I was willing to listen and take some suggestions. One was 90 meetings in 90 days. That helped a lot.

Thank you for your insight! Many people have been telling me that 90 meetings in 90 days would be a great first step.
