My breathing exercises are no longer working to clam my anxiety when I have weak moments of wanting to use again. Any advice is greatly appreciated on what I can do differently to clam myself.
I have found that movement- any type of exercise, even if it’s just walking really helps to calm the mind.
Journaling. Get all your thoughts out on paper- what is causing these feelings? What thoughts are you having? Ask yourself those questions.. take time to write it out and observe without judgement.
Call someone you can trust and talk it out or attend a meeting and force yourself to share! You will feel much better after sharing and listening.
Keep up the good work! Keep trying new practices to see what works best for you in those moments. It will pass.
Thank you so much
God Bless you

I found praying helps.
Headphones- binaural beats are a life saver along with guided meditation and/or hypnosis. You can search different frequencies to induce sleep, or calm anxiety. Also if you want an energy boost I tap into some edm music with headphones on and it it just kind of forces you to move along. An object in motion stays in motion. Hope this helps

This is going to sound really dumb, but just hear me out... When I struggle eith traditional breathing techniques, I put my mind in a zone as if I'm in the doctors office and the doc is listening to my chest with a stethoscope. For some reason, when a doc asks me to breathe deep, I can do it because my mind is being conditioned to help the doc carry out the task at hand. So next time you feel like you're struggling, think as if the doc is asking you to take some deep breaths. This works. Even if it's cheating your anxious mind. Try it and let me know how it works out!
I’m the last person I would have thought to recommend this but self hypnosis has helped me tremendously.
Exercise works well for me.
Sometime cleaning or working out or just anything to help get your mind off the anxiety I suffer from it as well and it’s awful at times
Thank you I will try that
I've never heard of that but I'll try anything at this point
