One day at a time. Days 3, 4, 5 were the worst for me. chills, sweats...all of it. I called my brother and he told me "Hang in...you'll either be dead or you'll be loving a different better life with a week or three"!

Best message I ever got.

I have kicked it all as well. This is the 14th time. It’s getting harder as I get older. My body is just tired. It feels like I have a beast inside me I need to feed. Doesn’t help when my drug dealer tries giving me free stuff

Thank you! I wanted to give in as my dealer called telling me he has some better stuff he wants me to try… no he wants to get me going again. I weaned off and day 3 nothing but wow the cravings up until a few min ago have been strong, like a beast inside me I have to feed

Lauren! The dealers classic line! First things first, you can do this! Join the no matter what club! Don’t pick up or give up no matter what! You are worth it and you deserve a life without drugs/alcohol. Much love and prayers your way!

It’s worth it

4 years later I can say it gets easier. Now i only crave every six months or so and not very strong cravings at that

Get ALL the sleep. However much you need. Replace the thoughts with fun and/or productive activities. Cut out your doubters, especially the closest, at least temporarily.

The will to stay sober, remain healthy, and experience pure joy are stronger than the cravings.

Block his number he doesn't give a shiz if you don't wake up tomorrow? Give it some time, you know you have to get it out of your system? Stay strong you are worth it!

Do doctors use Ativan for opioids? I know they do with alcohol and it helps the withdrawal.

It gets harder before it gets better, don’t give up on yourself!!

I am also clean from opioids if I can do it so can you. One day, hour, or second at a time.

Lol... pissed off receptors...I got ya
I've gotten off oxy with the help of kratom by the way.
It acts as an agonist on those receptors and helps with withdrawal symptoms and cravings. I'm not sure where you are but it's legal in most states....at your local head shop...need to eat 3-5 g to get opiote agonist affect....they've said habit forming but I form a habit with everything and didn't with kratom. Just FYI....it helped
Keep on keepin on

I’ve done it so many times before but this times the hardest. I want to give in but I haven’t

I believe in you. Sometimes we have to do things that are hard. That fuy needs to be blocked if I mifht be so bold. Do not take the offense and go anywhere near. Thats too much to ask of anyone. Go to meeting super
early and ask if anyone wants coffee or something after.
Stay around
folks like you. Strength in numbers kiddo.

Your story is very similar to mine, the only difference is I'm alcoholic.

For years I was able to quit fairly easily. Like you, it got harder and harder every time and the withdrawals were stronger and stronger. 6 ER visits in 6 months, and on the 6th visit my family came in and they can't watch me do this anymore. Begrudgingly, I agreed to go to rehab. It was the best decision of my life. They gave me tools to handle the situations like you're going through.

Even if you've already tried rehab, try again. I was in with people who had just got out a month prior.

Lastly, the vivatrol shot is amazing. It works a bit different for opioids vs. alcohol - I could still get drunk of I had the shot, but it blocks certain receptors so you're not able to get high. It curbs those cravings as well.
