Lol thank you! But willpower and determination have very little to do with it, it’s more about beliefs and conviction…hard to explain. In my experience, if something seems hard and I have to struggle with it I’m mentally not fully onboard. If I’m replacing booze with sugar I’m still buying into the idea that the alcohol provides benefits, and sugar needs to fill a gap. But now I know that booze has no benefits, therefore I don’t need to replace it with something. Instead I was ready to embrace any cravings and pings as signs that the booze is leaving my system, and my brain is busy recalibrating itself. So far no cravings yet, only a major headache on day two, I’m almost disappointed haha.
