Wow that puts perspective
On my day, I’ve been in my head future tripping all week. So thank you for your share!
I love this!!
Thank you for sharing Krysty. I hope you move through grieving well, and congratulations on your sobriety!
Yes Krysty I just want to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I am aware how hard it is to lose a loved one and have you in my heart and prayers. I lost my wife a year ago Dec and it took me a month or more for the shock to wear off. Be gentle with you and let others help you dear:love_you_gesture:

They’re all engraved on the back with my dad’s name and sobriety date which is pretty cool
Aww - thanks. It’s helped to strengthen my sobriety for sure and I don’t want to pass that legacy onto my kids
I get it! Just take it one day at a time and know that you’re stronger than you think you are
You’re welcome. It’s taken some work to reconcile all the parts of my story and of my dad.
Thank you! I feel pretty solid in my sobriety, which is a good thing.
I’m sorry for your loss. It’s never easy. I still go to pick up the phone to talk to him and then realize he’s not there
Yes and you can still talk with him. That’s what I was advised to do and remember grief is love and grief and healing are both a single process too. I recommend How to Survive the Loss if a Love the most recommended book by clinicians in the country.
Of* not if
Thanks for the book rec- will definitely check it out. I do still talk to him, but I miss the advice he used to give me.
It will come back.
Thank you for sharing, being vulnerable, and your honesty. Your story is inspiring my sobriety today
Aww - thank you. That’s the best part of sobriety is finding strength in connection of stories
Find your relationship with your higher power then you will have soberity even if I have 42yrs sober I still get the temptation no one's looking to self be true
