My daughter is 7 months old and hasn’t been sick up until now …. Took her to the doctor and she has the croop…. My anxiety is high … she sounds horrible when she coughs

Praying for you. Shes lucky to have you. I had that pretty bad when I was a kid and had to go to the hospital sometimes but grew out of it eventually.

Thanks , luckily doctor said it’s a mild case .. just gotta keep an eye on it for a few days

All my kids had croop a few times, it usually sounds way worse than it is. Try to stay calm for her… even at 7 months old they can pick up on your anxiety. She will be fine… and you will get through it.

You bet! Remember kids get sick… nothing will stop that, but they get stronger! Y’all will be good!

Show her everything will be OK by believing it will be!

Run a hot shower and close the bathroom door. Hold her in the bathroom to breathe the steam for up to 20 minutes. Or wrap her in a blanket in the evening and take her outside. The steam in her lungs, and the cool air at night will sooth her throat. Plus, skin to skin as much as possible right now. You got this, dad!

Croup sounds absolutely terrifying. But in healthy individuals, it is not something that’s usually super dangerous. It’s harder on the parents than it is on the child.
