My face without the mask of addiction…

Eyes no longer red and rubbed raw, creases of mouth no longer dry and crusty from dehydration, cheeks no longer creased and sunken in with those little dots everywhere that everyone knew was never acne. My face has fleshed out again filling in the lines and my hair has grown leaps and bounds alongside my fingernails… im 4 and a half months clean and i look like a different person when i see myselt… and im liking this healthier look and person a whole heck of a lot. Here’s to one more day!

I too noticed such a drastic change in my face after about 6 months. To me it was a dramatic reminder of the poison I was putting into my body and the miracle of how resilient our bodies and minds are! Thanks for sharing this

Relate to the "mask of addiction...". You've made so much progress and here is to so much more ahead in your journey!

I just wanted to say that you are a very beautiful woman and the cost of drugs and alcohol in your mental and physical beauty is terrible. Thankfully you are getting out now, you have a long life ahead of you, don’t let that evil back in. I’m sure we all have looked at before and after pictures of what these drugs do to people. God will give you all the strength you need to keep fighting the good fight, just ask him!

Thanks for sharing. I can relate :100:. I was a ghost of who I was clean. It almost killed me.
I was almost without hair on my head. Now my hair is halfway down my back. Cheeks filled in. Color is healthy looking.... Not gray. I'm human again... It's such a relief.

The best part isn't just the clear skin or the hair growth, it’s that you actually like the person staring back at you now. The gift of sobriety! Keep going.

Sober life or not sober slow miserable death.
You deserve the best life possible.
