My first game at Lambeau since I got sober. It

My first game at Lambeau since I got sober. It was super fun. Packer games are drunk fests. I did well even when the guy in front of me in line held his hand out offering little Fireballs (my old jam). lol I did need to wait until this point in my recovery for this. Don’t ever test your sobriety beyond your comfortable limits.

Haven’t heard of fireballs. I’m a lifelong Vikings fan, grew up with season tickets at the old met. Stadium outside. Gotta hand it to the packers, they’re able to play 60 minutes - not so lucky with the Vikes.

Fireball whiskey shots in the little airplane bottles. I had them hidden EVERYWHERE when I was active. I would wait shaking outside the grocery store until I could buy at 8:00am, grab a couple handfuls, then slam them as I needed to get me through the work day, then buy a handful on my way home. That would last me until I made it to my big bottles hidden at home. Fu(king train wreck.

Well, the first half of the game was good.....

Shawn, I’m a Wisco native myself. A lot of people don’t understand the drinking culture of Wisconsin, it’s a whole different world.

Right?!?!:upside_down_face:

Hey Buddy! That’s so awesome!! Thank you for sharing the pic! It lifts my spirits to see you smile and enjoy life! I enjoy the college games a little more, and attend all the UM (university of Miami) home games. I attended a few clean and sober this season. The last time I walked into the stadium stoned, I forgot I had my dab pen and cart in my shorts. I got up to the front of security and had to throw it on the table right next to my wife’s keys and stuff. My poor wife was so naive and clueless that I was able to snatch it up without her noticing. I was worried about the cops that were standing by as well. It truly is a new found freedom to not have to always live in fear of being found out! Oh yeah, you cheese heads can drink!

I tried but can’t paste a picture illustrating binge drinking bu county in the US. Wisconsin is the only state where every county was at the highest level.

Lol We have a lot of good AA here too😄

Amen to that, lots of good meetings. Met some great people working great programs around Milwaukee, Hayward has a great alano club and Soberfest at lake Geneva each November can't be beat.

Love going to new places. I'll have to try those out.:slightly_smiling_face:

I thought about going to a Lions game a couple weeks ago. We have season passes. I decided not to even tho I hang out with the family at drunk functions often. I don’t think I could handle a football game w/o losing my mind. I give you credit big guy.

Some moments were a little uncomfortable, but there were some moments of gratitude too. Watching folks act like just drunken idiots made me so thankful that i was sober and present. And I didnt need to worry about a DUI on my way home.:slightly_smiling_face:
