Most people don't realize it but you actually honor this St Patrick character much better with sobriety than you do with drunkenness as the world would have you believe.

There's an old joke that says, Why did God create alcohol?
So the Irish wouldn't take over the world.

On the contrary, people in Ireland don't sit around day after day getting all lit up. But the liquor industry loves St.Patrick's day for sure.
