I am so grateful to have found the man of my dreams. Someone who loves me and accepts me just the way I am. I'm so shocked that within a year from being released from prison (I served 5 years) I have been able to reestablish a relationship with my children and I found the man I'm going to spend forever with. I've been sober 6 years though, y'all. It doesn't happen over night, but it does happen. So for everyone who is in the early days of recovery, DON'T
GIVE UP!!! Everything will eventually come back to you. Maybe not in the way you pictured, but you have to be grateful of every little milestone. Celebrate your new found strength. And as always, I'm thankful for each of you helping me every step of the way!!!
