One of my favorite authors, bell hooks, writes about how love is an action not a feeling. I appreciate that. I chose to act in love to others. It’s a practice and a choice. And a feeling.

Love is when you sit next to an individual crying 
And you have no idea why they are sad..
Someone asks why is that individual crying?
I don’t know 
I just figured by me doing so he would not have to be alone in his tears.. not to try and solve anything.. just be there
