My last relapse put me down about myself but I

My last relapse put me down about myself but I remember how far of come in the last 6 years. Less than 2 years ago I was in jail and today I have a beautiful son, I got my license back, I’m working on getting my degree and I have a great job. I’ve been at the bottom and while this relapse is a setback today is a new day and a sober day. Anyone coming back after a setback know this: you are loved, supported, and worthy. I hope you all have an amazing day!

I needed that Emily. Thank you for sharing. This past weekend I fell off the wagon and it was ugly. So once I sobered up I instantly felt so ashamed, so alone, so guilty and so miserable towards myself. But reading this has made those feeling wash away and i feel so ready to try again.
Thanks again, I hope you have a great day!!

Very cool. Blessings abound when in sobriety. Welcome back and enjoy that sober journey.

I feel guilt in shame are our addictions way of keeping us down. So glad you are back! Enjoy a safe and sober holiday!

Emily, just get back on that horse, buckle uourself in the saddle and start again. A new fresh day. You HAVE come so far!! Look at the girl in the mirror, tell her you are proud of her, and will try to stay up on that horse with your higher power's help, help from this group, and using all the tools you know have helped you get this far. May God hold you in the palm of His hand!!
