Try indoors or off of the ground. You probably have too much moisture to grow it straight out of the ground there. I'm jealous that you can catch a peacock bass in the canals out there! Such a beautiful and amazing fish... (sorry for the Segway)
My friend just caught 6 peacock bass last weekend!
