So I went to a meeting tonight, and on the way there I was talking myself into opening up and actually sharing at the meeting. I have shared before but most of the time I sit and listen. Tonight I shared about my struggles gaining employment that I was clearly qualified for, but could not attain because I have a drug charge. One of the members asked if we could talk after the meeting…One hour later, I got a job and begin next Monday! God is good! Now I can move on to the next phase of my living clean life. I am looking forward to putting in the work to regain a steady work life and then a place of my own for my daughter and I. Today was definitely a win!

There are good days and not so good days in sobriety. The good news is we don't have to get high or drink over it. Life never really gets easier. We just get better at handling life one day at a time without suppressing our feelings.
I'm glad that you're one of those who are going to meetings. Make sure you latch on to a sponsor that will take you through the steps.
And always remember that the circus is still in town.
