I had a job interview a couple days ago which was a bit daunting because it was a 3 on 1 in the fanciest board room I’ve ever been in which btw had the most comfortable chairs! 
Felt like I killed it and did an excellent job at selling myself to them. Well got a call back confirming that notion and just received an email with a formal offer letter! So I have until the 25th to sign and accept the job When I do they’ll begin the background check and I’ll have 72hrs to submit a hair follicle drug test and if all goes well (which it should) I’m looking at a start date of Nov 8th and beginning my new career as a Machinist. Sooo excited!!

They are they are! I’m doing my best to stay grounded but I’ve been blessed with so much positivity lately I feel like I’m floating. I’ve been nominated and voted to chair one of the NA meetings I attend every week and after that meeting found a solid possibility of getting a lab puppy that I’ve been looking for over the past month. It feels really good having opportunities coming my way that I can attribute to my sobriety and the constant work I put into. So with that said I’m going to just continue that work and effort to not only better my life in a health manner but all the positive opportunities that come with.

Thank you so much😊! I’m trying not to get too overly excited until I’m officially cleared with background check and drug test but it’s damn hard not too lol. I’ve been roofing for the past 10 years and you can’t do that forever so made the decision after receiving in treatment to not return (couldn’t anyway because of another addict there which was a big part in my relapse) Now it feels like I can be whatever I want to be… within reason of course.
