Long post
I've been on my current job 2 years. I've been with night shift 11p-7a since March 1st this year. My sobriety date is 5/12/24. I get off at 7am. Take my 2 daughters to school. Come back home shower, get a bite to eat, and get a few hours of sleep. Get back up at 2pm and go pick up both daughters from 2 seperate schools. Some days they have athletic practices or tutoring. Making sure I get to many weekly AA meetings as I can and stay in communication with my sponsor. Making sure my spouse and kids have dinner and everyone is ok before I lay down in the evening for a nap before my night shift. With all of that being said and im doing while maintaining sobriety. I'm proud to say I'm almost 6 months sober. While getting and staying sober life keeps coming and going:kids, jobs, spouses, etc. Some people fail to realize what we go through. We still have to deal with life challenges all while getting and maintaining sobriety. Outsiders don't understand, but I know everyone here on this app does.
That's amazing! I'm so proud of you! Keep pushing forward! You're killing it!!
