That’s what leads so many of us to becoming addicts in the first place. Sure was the deep seeded reasoning for me. The point of my using every time I did when I started was to not feel feelings. I wanted to numb myself to everything in my life that bothered or hurt me not realizing how much more harm and hurt I was actually doing. By the time I did realize it it was already too late. The problems that we try and forget about by using don’t go away or get better they only get worse because we’re not facing them in order to fix them. Whatever it is that’s weighing on you has to be faced and addressed if you want it to stop so you can be free, happy and healthy. I’m sorry that you’re hurting right now but know this. That everyone, addict or not, has life shit on them from time to time and we can’t let it consume us to the point of feeling as if there’s no hope because there always is Chris. No matter how bad things seem to get they will always eventually get better and that takes time. So take a deep breath, relax and get comfy because times still ticking away and eventually it’s heading to bring you to a better day. Stay strong bro and this low will pass behind you as you rise back up to better happier days.
