Lack of self control was my problem too. I tried so many times. I tried so many different ways. In the end, my wants, needs and desires eventually won out. Left me feeling weak, humiliated, and demoralized. I’ll have 19 months of sobriety in a few days. I couldn’t do it on my own. I gave up and got help. I don’t know if this is going to make any sense to you, but I got the self control only after I surrendered my self control. If you continue to have issues with this self control, I suggest you look into a 12 step program, or one of the other recovery programs that many of us follow.
